How much energy does a USDT transfer need?

17TRX editorial team · Updated

Do not treat a past transfer’s energy consumption as a fixed requirement for the next one. Contract state, call details and dynamic energy can affect estimates. Check the current address and transaction.

Steps

  1. 1

Enter the recipient, USDT amount and TRON network in your wallet. Read the confirmation screen’s resource and fee estimate without signing or sending yet.

  2. 2

Compare required energy with what the sending address has available. Available energy is max(0, EnergyLimit − EnergyUsed); the resource limit alone is not the remaining balance.

  3. 3

The theoretical package count is the energy shortfall divided by 131,000, rounded up. For a 150,000 estimate with 30,000 available, the 120,000 shortfall needs one package in theory. Allow for state changes.
